With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Matthew on December 26, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Kathleen for 68 years. Loving father of Susan (Robin) Easterbrook, Michael (Deb) Fekete, Diane (John) Tofflemire and Kathleen (Greg) Pullman. Treasured Grandpa of Mathieu Bezaire, Stephen (Allison) Fekete, Chelsea (Travis) Fowler, Zachary (Faye) Easterbrook, Jonathan Tofflemire, Riley (Cameron) Easterbrook, Patrick, Trevor, Kenneth and Nathan. Proud great-grandpa of Calvin, Quinn, Dominic and Miles. Dear brother of Regina Dobday. Matthew retired from Chrysler Canada after 44 years of service and was a retiree member of the CAW local 444. He was in the Chrysler golf league for many years. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus council 4386 for 57 years. Matthew was also a member of the Windsor Orchid Society. If you so desire, donation to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, Hiatus House or to Street Help in his honour would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Friday, December 29, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm at Families First, 2130 Front Rd. LaSalle, 519-969-5841 with K of C prayers at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, December 30, 2023 family and friends are invited to meet after 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in LaSalle (1425 Divine St.) followed by funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
