It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew in Kingston, Ontario in his 38th year.
Beloved husband of Alexandra Smith (nee: Rayner). Cherished father to Emmett and Ella.
Adored son to his mother, Nancy Wood, step-father, Maurice Wood and father, the late Darren Smith.
Brother to Brendan (Ashley) Smith and Beverly Smith.
Dear son-in-law to Rick and Andrea Rayner, brother-in-law to Cameron Rayner.
Loved grandson to Charles (the late Jean) Mark and the late Ross and Constance Richardson and grandson-in-law to Jim and Lynda Moorcraft and the late Harold and Marylou Rayner.
«Uncle Maff» to Lennox and Adeline.
Matt will be missed by his extended family and Lafarge colleagues.
Since the beginning of Matt’s cancer diagnosis, the outpouring of support and generosity has been truly overwhelming and appreciated.
