FANCEY, Mary Elaine, age 86, of Enfield, passed away on June 26, 2024 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Simpson’s Corner, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Elvin and Frelove (Tufts) Rhoddy.
Mary loved her community and had many neighbours and friends on speed dial who were always there for her. She was an avid Bingo player and considered TV Bingo to be a great night out, without leaving the comfort of her home.
She will be sadly missed by her son Rick (Maxine) Fancey, daughters Debbie Lightle and Darlene (Stephen) Richardson; stepdaughter, Muriel Stoddard; her best friend, Fred Campbell; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Claude; son Kevan; grandson Travis; and her 7 siblings, as she was the last of her immediate family.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Homes. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Elmsdale location of Ettinger Funeral Homes, 860 Highway 2, at 1pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
