Maryanne Jane Hudson (nee Coombs) of Heart’s Desire, passed peacefully away at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, St. John’s on Monday, April 29, 2024. Maryanne was 62 years old.
She leaves to mourn:
Daughters: Amy Hudson & Megan Hudson & their father Jeffrey
Grandchildren: Kaya Morrisseau & Thomas Kohlmeister
Furry Grandchildren: Moe, Wabush & Sparky
Fur Baby: Lucky
Partner: Bruce
Siblings: Jerome (Wendy), Louise (Mike), Ricky (Rosalyn), Gerard (Cathy), Alexander (Sherri), Alonzo, Kimberly (Billy) & Tim (Michelle)
And a large circle of family & friends

After a long and courageous battle with Cancer and comforted by her faith, Maryanne passed away surrounded by her loving daughters and numerous family members on April 29. One of 12 children, Maryanne was born on November 10, 1961, and raised in Heart’s Desire. For more than 20 years, she lived in Black Tickle, Labrador, where she raised a family. Most recently, she lived in Fair Haven with her partner. Maryanne committed her life to her children and then grandchildren, immediate and extended family, and friends. Her sense of humor, competitive spirit and friendliness was adored by many who knew and loved her. She will be forever remembered as a loving mother, sister, Grandmother, and a fantastic dart player.
Special thanks to Dr. Joannie Neveu and Nurse Amy Moore at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre for their exceptional care and support during Maryanne’s cancer journey.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Mortuary Chapel, Hearts Desire on Thursday: 6-9 P.M. & Friday: 1-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. In honor of her memory, donations may be made to the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit, St. John’s
The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1 P.M. from Sacred Heart R.C. Church & Cemetery, Hearts Desire.
