Robertson, Mary Elizabeth (née Ziegler)
Went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Barnswallow Place Care Community at the age of 92 years. Loving wife of the late Jim Robertson. Caring mother of Jim (Jenn) Robertson, Rob Robertson, Colin (Lindsey) Robertson.
Devoted Gran to Grace (Eric), James, Claire, Sadie, Emily (Conner), Julia, Jordyn, and Camryn. Sister of Wyn Overend and sister-in-law of June Ziegler.
Predeceased by her parents Grace (Stinson) and William Ziegler, siblings Dorothy (Don), Fred (Alma), Jewel (Neil), Milt (Doris), Albert “Hap”, Ruth (Eldon), Irene (Gord), Gloria (Warner), and brother-in-law Glen Overend.
Mary walked by faith and inspired many around her to do the same. Her unwavering trust in Jesus throughout her life comforts us to know that she is now at peace in heaven. As she would always sing, “I don’t care if it rains or freezes, I am safe in the arms of Jesus.”
Memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Elmira Pentecostal Assembly 290 Arthur St. S., Elmira, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow.
Thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Barnswallow Place for making Mary’s final year so comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
