It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Phyllis «Mary» Price of Grand Bank announces her passing. Mary passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Thursday, March 9th, 2023, at the age of 85.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, John (Jennifer) of Grand Bank, Craig (Doris) of Grand Bank, David (Leslie) of Garnish, Darrell (Julie), New Market, ON, Jason (Katrina) of Keswick, ON; son in-law, Allan Guy Clouter (Marilyn) of Frenchman’s Cove; sisters, May Douglas (Ralph), Sarah Fizzard, Marina Clements (Harry), Belinda Downey (William); brothers, Lloyd Downey (Rosalind), Wayne (Ruby); sisters in-law, Marilyn Downey, Mildred Clarke (David), Florence Matthews, Ethel Hollett (Max), Olive Price; 8 grandchildren, Trevor (Julia), Jennifer (Jon), Janelle (Zackary), Joy (Rylie), Michael (Ashley), Brendon (Chantal), Lucas (Chantelle), Zackary; 5 great grandchildren, Amy, Timothy, Eleanor, Theresa, Kaitlynn; special friends, Susie Rose, Lisa Hiscock, George Price; homecare worker, Alvina Brushett; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Mary was predeceased by husband, Donald; daughter, Donna; great granddaughter, Abby Clouter; parents, Philip & Minnie Downey; sisters, Florence Downey, Jessie Hanrahan; brothers, Freddie &Arthur Downey; brothers in-laws, Eli Price, John Hanrahan, Joseph Fizzard; sisters in-laws, Violet Miller, Vera Hynes (Gary).
The Price Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Fortune on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sunday, March 12th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank on Monday, March 13th, 2023 at 10:30 am.
Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery.
In Mary’s memory donations may be made to Grand Bank Salvation Army Cemetery Fund or the Abby Clouter Memorial Fund or flowers gratefully accepted.
