Pette, Mary Elizabeth (nee Gigacz), at the Owen Sound Hospital with family by her side, on Thursday January 18, 2024 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward George Pette. Proud mother of Ed and partner Diane of North Bruce, Betty and her husband Philip Young of Goderich, Pat and her husband Tom McTeer of Port Elgin and Stephen and his wife Charmaine of Port Elgin, and daughter-in-law Jane Pette. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren who meant the world to her. Survived by her sister Anne (the late Julius) Scheiermann and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Martin & Anne Gigacz, sisters Margaret and Barbara, and by her brother Mike Gigacz.
Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Sunday January 21 2024, from 2-5 pm. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Mary Pette will be conducted in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Monday at 2 pm. Spring interment St Patrick’s Cemetery, Southampton. Fellowship and Sharing will follow in the Family Centre of the Funeral Home. Expressions of Remembrance to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
