Mary
Frances (Wallin) Isnor, formerly of Gaspereau, passed away peacefully
on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in Grand View Manor, Berwick, at the
age of 99, two months before her 100th
birthday. Born in Montreal, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late
James and Imilda (Bellfontaine) Wallin.
Mary was
a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed raising her children in
Gaspereau with her husband, Charles by her side. She was a member of
the Gaspereau Baptist Church and Ladies’ Auxiliary, and a
member of Gems and Jewels. Mary was an avid traveler and enjoyed trips
throughout Canada and the States. She had wonderful friendships that
spanned decades and looked forward to time spent with Mary Coldwell,
Margaret Coldwell and Doris Fraser, a.k.a. the 4 amigos. Mary had a
dry wit and curious sense of adventure, she loved playing cards, had a
fondness for animals, especially owls, and could go shopping for
hours. Above all else, she loved any time spent with her children and
their families.
Mary is
survived by her children, Dale (Susanne) Isnor, Brenda (Bobby)
Zwicker, Karen Westcott (Bev Barkhouse) and David (Lorraine) Isnor;
daughter-in-law, Gloria Isnor; son-in-law, Bob Janes; brother, Joseph
(Maryann) Wallin; sister-in-law, Kay Isnor; brother-in-law, Donnie
Cox; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several great
great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended
family.
In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles
Isnor; daughters, Mary Lou (Michael) Eye and Wanda Janes; son, Brian
Isnor; grandchildren, Jacob Westcott and Cole Isnor; brothers, George
(Aunt Nin), Jimmy and Johnny Wallin; sister, Marion Cox; and
brother-in-law, Ray Isnor.

Mary’s family would like to
extend their sincere thanks of appreciation to Dr. Matthew Targett and
the staff of Grand View Manor for the exceptional care and compassion
she received.

Cremation has taken place and there
will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at
2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Gaspereau Cemetery, Kings
County. Rev. Fran Woodside officiating.

Donations in memory may be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
