In keeping with Mary’s wishes, a service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place at Heritage Memorial Gardens, Swan River, Manitoba.
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother, Mary Ellen, on Friday March 3, 2023 at the age of 68.
Mary Ellen was born on January 14, 1955 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Ken and Dorothy Clark. She was then raised in Swan River, Manitoba where she later attended Duncan School. She began working at the young age of 14.
In 1974, Mary Ellen married her first life love, Robert (Bob) Harris and in 1975, they welcomed their firstborn son, Dale into this world. In 1978, they welcomed their second son Carey.
As life would have it, Mary Ellen and Bob found themselves embarking on separate life journeys several years later. Mary Ellen spent much of her life making memories with friends and family. She especially enjoyed knitting, cross stitching and coffee dates with friends.
Mary Ellen met one more life love. Neil. And they shared the next 15 years together. Life dealt her one more card after that and in 2018 she was diagnosed with Dementia. She is fondly remembered for her smile, kind and generous heart and loving words.
Mary Ellen is survived and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Carey (Kyla), of Humboldt, Saskatchewan and Dale (Stephanie), of Swan River, Manitoba. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Lily, Sawyer, Ksenia, Keone, Kipp and Khy and her brother, George (Valerie). She is predeceased by her parents Ken and Dorothy Clark.
In lieu of flowers, for those so wishing, donations in Mary Ellen’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
