CULLODEN, Mary Elizabeth (Formerly Northey, nee Johnston). Passed away at the Kingston General Hospital ICU on Monday, June 24th, 2024 in her 83rd year. Eldest loving daughter of the late Alvin and Mary Johnston (nee Bovie). Loving mother of Hugh Northey (Susan), Michael Northey (Kelly), Carol-Ann Fellows (Greg), and Stacey Horton (Pete). Caring grandmother of Logan (Alyssa), Grayden (Carley), Savanna (Matt), Austin (Abbey), Sydney, Ben (Kayleigh), Zack (Rachel), Elijah (Ashlynn), Dominic (Tony), Jarek (Brittany). Mother by choice of nephew, Kevin Wild (predeceased). Great-grandmother to Hendrix, Daxton and Quinton. Sister of Carol Hughson (Lloyd), Deb Raymond (Farley Toms), and remembered by brother-in-law Dwayne Ellis. Aunt Jo as she was called will be fondly remembered by many nieces, and nephews. She is already missed by her «coffee group» girls and the staff at Olympic 76. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Rushnell Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon). If desired, donations to Make A Wish Foundation or the Belleville General Hospital Foundation (Emergency Department) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Those who knew Mary know that she was always there for everyone around her. If you needed to know something about any topic, she was going to drop everything and find you an answer. If you needed a cheerleader on the sidelines at a sports game, a play, a ceremony, or just in everyday life – she was there. If you needed someone to help fight a battle with you, she was always going to be there. She had a longtime passion for research and volunteer work in genealogy, which is certainly a reflection of how much she loved getting to know everyone and the journeys they’ve endured. She stood strongly for the things she believed in, and she believed strongly in everyone she loved
