CORSARO, Mary Eleanore (nee Ariss)- 94, of Niagara Falls, Ontario, peacefully joined her husband, Frank (2000), in heaven on November 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on April 22, 1929, in Rosseau, Ontario, to Arthur and Blanche Ariss. She and her brother, David (1988), spent their early years in Rosseau and attended high school in Ajax. Mary settled in Niagara Falls after marrying her favourite dance partner, Frank Corsaro in 1951.
Mary is mother and heroine to her three children, Penelope (Walter), Joseph (Lenka) and Daniel (Lise).
Mary’s grandchildren, Kristen (Jonathan), Jeremy (Carly), Candice (Emmanuel), Frank (Carissa), Nicky (Dean), Karly, and Jamie (Daniel) are eternally thankful to have had a grambear as magnificent as Mary.
‘GG’s’ great-grandchildren (Isaiah, Malikye, Joey, Manny, Danny, Nico, Luca, Desmond and Jenevieve) consider themselves incredibly fortunate to have had her love in their lives.
Mary was loved by many and spread her beautiful spirit with friends and family members everywhere she went.
Mary made lifelong friends working at Bell Telephone, Oneida, Towers and Zellers.
Mary volunteered her time at the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara and was a long-standing member and volunteer (over 50 years) at the Catholic Women’s League at St Thomas More Parish in Niagara Falls.
Mary was known for her generosity, loyalty, humor, kindness, love of adventure and contagious laugh.
Mary’s family would like to thank the staff at Salvation Army Eventide Home for always treating Mary with kindness, respect and patience.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in honour of Mary to the Alzheimer’s Society or M.S. Canada. Family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME 5917 Main Street, on Tuesday November 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church on Wednesday morning at 10:30a.m. with Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
