Our hearts have been broken as we announce the peaceful passing , surrounded by family, of our dear mother, grandmother and sister and aunt, Mary Eleanor Pearl Duffett, age 90, from Lower Lance Cove at the Dr.G.B.Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday, September 29th, 2024.
Predeceased by husbands, Munroe Hiscock and Allan Duffett; parents, William and Mariam Butt; siblings, Winston Butt, Adam (Winnie) Butt, Edgar (Joan) Butt , Lloyd (Eleanor) Butt, Flora (Ralph) Gardner, Margaret (Winston) Ivany, Jessie (Clifford) Cheator; son-in-law, Paul Burke and brother-in-law, Cecil King.
Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her children, Donna Hiscock, Robert Hiscock (Patricia), Douglas Hiscock (Marilyn), Bonnie Burry (Dave), Marion Hiscock and Linda Hiscock; grandchildren, Peter, Nicole, Heather, Dion, Holly, Ashley, Michael, Christa, Ashley, Robert, Roxanne; 14 great grandchildren and sister, Barbara King as well as many other close family and friends.
Resting at Vardy’s Funeral Home.
Public visitation Thursday October 3rd, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm
Funeral service to take place from the former Salvation Army Citadel, Hickman’s Harbour on Friday October 4th, 2024 at 2 pm with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Britannia.
