It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Ryan announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday ,January 3rd, 2023, at the age of 85. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick Ryan, brother Pete Tricco, and sisters Helen Martin (Edward) and Margaret Rumbolt . She is survived by her children Gerard (Catherine Power), Neil (Darlene Lundrigan), Paul (Vivienne Lee), Karen Staubitzer (Chris), and PJ (Tina Auchinleck-Ryan); grandchildren Victoria (Steven Johnson), Brett, Melanie, Peter, David, Alexandra, Nicholas, Grace, Liam, and Erin; brothers Edward and Joseph Tricco; sisters Louise Smith (Fred – deceased), Lilian Smith (Petley-deceased), Carol Pickford, and Barbara Miller (Ronald-deceased); brother-in-law Eric Rumbolt as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at North Pond Personal Care Home who helped share Mom’s final years with us.
Mom lived a life of faith, devotion, and service to others and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, and will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kindness, generosity, and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday 06 January 2023 from 11 am to 9 pm at Caul’s Funeral Home ,Torbay. Funeral will take place on Saturday 07 January at 10 am at Cauls Funeral Home, Torbay followed by interment at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery in Outer Cove. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Mary’s life and paying their respects. Out of respect for all attendees, non-medical disposable masks are encouraged.
