It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Male at her residence, Summit Heights Retirement Residence in Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 91.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Grant Edward Male, and was the dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Lorna and Don Bundy, Betty and Rob MacDougall, Ken and Mary, Al and Cindy, Debbie and Steve Fleming, James and Debbie. Loving grandmother to 17 and great-grandmother to 24.
Mary was born September 2, 1933 in Leeds County, Ontario to Anna and Robert Preston. She is predeceased by her parents, her three brothers, Andy, Jack and Gary, and her sister-in-law Gladys. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Shirleen and Geraldine, and many nieces and nephews. Mary ran a home daycare for many years. She was an unofficial Grandma and loved by the many children she cared for over the years.
At Mary’s request cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.dermodys.com
