O’LEARY, Mary Ann – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished Mom, Mary Ann O’Leary, originally from Fermeuse, NL. who passed away peacefully at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Thursday morning, December 14, 2023.
Predeceased by her husband Bill; parents Richard and Bridget Curran; sisters Margaret LeBlanc, Catherine Graham, Leonie Kennedy, Beatrice Murphy and Esther Kavanagh; her brother Edward Curran; in-laws Al LeBlanc, Ferdinand Graham, Vincent Kennedy, Thomas Murphy, Raymond Kavanagh, Bernice Curran, Bertha (Joseph) Hennessey, Gerard (Helene) O’Leary, Paul (Frances) O’Leary, Charles McCoullough and Cathy (Bill) White.
Leaving to mourn with treasured memories are her sister Terry (Chris) Belcourt; brother Ron (Zita) Curran; sister-in-law Theresa McCoullough; her daughters Colleen (Dave) Sullivan and Jo Anne (Rick) Bouchereau; four devoted grandchildren who she loved Erin and Daniel, Catherine and Liam, Mom’s special Stacey Reinhard (Our Angel), who filled Mom’s final years with laughter and hugs; as well as many nieces and nephews and many friends at St. Pat’s, including Betty T., Loretta, Betty F., Veda and Mark.
We would like to thank Joan Sullivan and the entire Sullivan family for all the support they have given over the years and for treating Mom like a queen.
We would like to thank every staff member at St. Pats, you all touched Mom’s heart! Thank you to Jessica and Deborah for the fun and music, Deborah in physio and her team, and all the staff on 2NS.
Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 12 noon from Caul’s Chapel, LeMarchant Road. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or a donation may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
