It is with sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marv Rabjohn on August 30, 2023 at the age of 86.
Marv passed peacefully in his home, holding the hands of his sons, Bill and Norm.
Fresh from high school, Marv joined the Canadian Airforce to see the world. And indeed he did just that over a 26 year career. In one of his first postings to Summerside P.E.I., he would meet the love of his life, Bunny, and together they built a life, a family, and traveled the world in a lasting love of 64 years. He retired a Sergeant and would settle in Omemee trying his hand at many different vocations in the years to follow. As was his unconventional style he was motivational speaker, car salesmen, Electronics technician, organic farmer and most notably, an authority on self reliant living and the art of the barter!
Marv saw the world through adventurous eyes. He was always appreciative of the mysteries of life and was never afraid to take a risk to find the answers to them. He loved to debate an perspective and was always current with issues of the day, staying relevant and connected to the world.
He is predeceased by beloved wife Bunny, survived by sons Bill (Maria) and Norm (Christine), grandchildren Michael (Megan), Krista (Daniel), Brittany, Courtney and Great grandson August (Michael and Megan).
Marv always marched to the beat of his own drummer. His wishes were that his friends and family would take a moment with a fond memory, raise a glass and toast a life very well lived, in lieu of any formal service or donations. May you rest in peace Marv.
