It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Marven Douglas Snowden, 75, on Tuesday,
July 4, 2023 at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash NS.
Formerly of Springhill, NS, Marven was the son of the late
Dennison and Mildred (Alyward) Snowden.
Marven was employed with Michelin for 33 years
retiring in 2004 when he then began working part time at Walmart for
another 4 years. Marven loved music and dancing, the outdoors,
gardening and tapping his maple trees. He was an avid bee keeper for
many years and loved animals especially his dog Sami.
Marven is survived by his wife Donna Marie (Woodford); their
children, Jacqueline (Rene), Sonya (Bret), Michael (Helene), Rob
(Angela), Tim (Mary), Ryan (LeAnne), Philip (Joyce), Greg (Arianna),
and Andrew; ten grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Allan) Matthews and
Debbie (Danny) Cvitkovich, as well as his brothers, Roy (Barb) and
Reg.
Besides his parents, Marven was predeceased by his grandson,
Michael.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). Honouring Marven’s wishes cremation
has taken place. Graveside Commital Service will be held Saturday,
August 26, 2023 at 1:00PM. Due to the anticipated rain the
Committal Service has been moved to the A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, NS.
