Peacefully at the Rosebridge Manor in Jasper on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Marlene Wessel (nee DeDekker) of Prescott at the age of 66. Dearly beloved daughter of Jean Barton and the late Clifford Barton. Loving mother of Jessica Banks (Brad), Kent Wessel (Syrina), Christopher Wessel (Constance). Loving grandmother of Hailee (Dalton) Rylan, and Tyler. Dear sister of Diane Lawrence (Rick), Keith De Dekker (Shelley), Brian DeDekker (Melissa) and Wayne Barton (Gail). Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
A graveside service will be held at the Maynard Cemetery, on Saturday, May 27 at 11am. Donations to the Mental Health Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Rosebridge Manor for the care given to Marlene over these last few years. If you are making your donation online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift “Please notify the family.” Arrangements entrusted to the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Cardinal.
