Marlene Mary (nee Rees) Brown.
August 27th, 1947 – June 14th, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce that Marlene Mary (nee Rees) Brown passed away on June 14th, 2023, at the age of 75. Marlene died peacefully surrounded by family at the Milton District Hospital after a valiant battle with lung cancer. She leaves her husband Henry “Harry” Brown of over 57 years. Their love for each other cannot be surpassed. Beloved mother to Kevin (Ramona), Stephen (Stacy) and Arlene (Ryan). Marlene was a wonderful nana survived by her grandchildren Tyler (Bronte), Brianna, Taylor and Avery and great-grandchild Roane. She will be reunited in heaven with her grandson Joshua and many family members she predeceased. We would like to share a special thank you to the amazing nurses who regularly visited mom, Sharilee Cox-Arseneault (NP) and Ida May Escobar Cruz (RN) who provided Marlene with such wonderful home care during her fight. Marlene, you touched everyone you met and had a wonderful spirit that will live on through your family, you will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. God Bless.
There will be a visitation at McKersie & Early Funeral Home on Thursday, June 22nd at 11:00am-1:00pm with a service beginning at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Canadian Lung Association in her honour.
