Marlene Maryanna Brown (nee Brunette) December 9, 1945 to February 27, 2024.
Following a lengthily courageous battle, Marlene passed at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew Tuesday, February 27, surrounded by love. Marlene was pre-desceased by her husband Gene of 62 years just eleven weeks earlier, as well as her youngest child Jim 22 years prior. They are together in peace again.
Loving mother to Dane (Bev) of Killaloe, Gina (Gord) of Calabogie, and Melissa (Jody) of Lanark. Adoring grandmother of Amanda (Jon) and Riley (Hailey), and her many grand dogs.
Marlene leaves one sister Ruby (Ron) of Pembroke, as well as countless nieces and nephews.
Marlene lived a wonderful life travelling the world with her family by her side. She had a deep love for music, reading and writing, but her greatest treasures in life were her family. The impact she had on those she loved was immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed.
The family would to extend their deepest, heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Groves that went above and beyond in making Marlene feel truly loved and at home during her time there. The compassion and support freely offered to the family during our time there will never be forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service held in the chapel at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew on Friday at 11:00am followed by a reception in order to celebrate the life of Marlene.
