1940-2023
It is with sadness the family of Marjorie
Lenora (Urquhart) Lounsbury, 82, of Petitcodiac passed away peacefully
at the Jordan LifeCare Centre on Saturday, February 11th,
2023.
Born in Taymouth, NB she was the daughter of the
late Angus and Florence (Elder) Urquhart. Marjorie came to Petitcodiac
as a school teacher enjoying that career for a number of years before
becoming the owner along with her late husband Stan Lounsbury of
Stan’s Irving and Restaurant. Marjorie enjoyed crafts as
well as being a member of Beta Sigma Phi, UCW and was very involved in
the United Church in Petitcodiac.
Survived by her son Peter (Anna) and his children
Stefania and Julian, daughter-in-law Judy (Armstrong) and her daughter
Jessica, sisters Carol Anderson (late Thurman) and Vida Webber and
several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Stan, son
Allen, grandson Joshua, sister Joyce Woodcock and brother James
Urquhart.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Rte
106, Salisbury (372-4800) visiting is Wednesday, February 15 from 6 –
8 pm and from where the funeral will be held Thursday, February 16 at
11 am with Rev. Stephen Brown officiating. Interment at Maplewood
Cemetery at a later date.
The family wish to express sincere appreciation to
Dr. Morton and the caregivers for the wonderful care received at the
Jordan LifeCare Centre.
If desired, donations in memory of Marjorie to the
Parkinson Foundation or charity of choice would be
appreciated.
