She will be deeply missed by her son, Peter (Jackie) Zamosny; her daughter, Carol (Rob) Thompson; her grandchildren, Bradley (Haley) Zamosny, Ryan (Kristina) Zamosny, Jenna Thompson, Grant Thompson and Scott Thompson; her great-grandchild, Azariah Thompson whom was the light of her life; her brother, Melvin (Linda) Scott; sisters, Gloria (Elmer) Marks and Lynn (Ed) Rawlyk; sister in laws, Elaine Lenz McCutchen and Pauline Lucyshyn; brother in law, Steven Petrovitch; and many nieces and nephews; father of her children, Bill Zamosny; and friend, Winston McKay and his family, especially Lori (Dale) McAuley whom she thought of as a daughter.
She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Joyce Scott; brother, Brian Scott; sister, Anna Mae Petrovich; and brother in laws, Fred Rawlyk and Frank Lucyshyn.
Marion was born on September 11, 1951 in Foam Lake, SK. She lived there until her family moved to Vonda and ran the local cafe. She married Bill Zamosny and started farming near Smuts. She was an extremely hardworking woman. Being a farm wife she worked on the field and raised their own animals to feed their family. She was an accountant during the busy tax season months for many years for a firm in Saskatoon and was a member of the Saskatoon Farmers Market for over 30 years, selling vegetables, bread and baking, plants and many other items. Attending the market year round did not give her a break to rest but she enjoyed providing for her many customers.
In her retirement she was able to spend a few winters in Arizona which she enjoyed. She was an amazing strong mother that instilled in her children the value of a strong work ethic. She had a love for animals and had many over the years, she left behind her two special fur babies, Cheech and Tiny.
Per Marion’s request, a private family service was held.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice at Glengarda for their caring and supportive help during our mothers’ stay.
Please consider making a donation directly to the Hospice at Glengarda (301 Hilliard Street East, Saskatoon, S7J 0E5).
Thank you to the staff at the Saskatoon Funeral Home for their compassion and ease during this difficult time.
