Obituary of Marion Frances Thomas
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Frances (nee Wilson) on Friday, June 14th, 2024, in her 82nd year at Sprucedale Care Centre.
Marion is survived by her devoted husband Wayne, her beloved son Dean (Christie) and her grandchildren Cassy, Elyse, Evan and Owen. Marion is predeceased by her parents and her two cherished children Robin (1999) and Stuart (1990).
Marion was passionate about caring for others, leading her to pursue a career as a PSW for VON. A stroke forced her retirement but did not slow her down. Marion refused to be hindered by her physical limitations, taking up scrapbooking and channeling her creative side to make handmade cards for friends and family. Marion will be forever remembered by those who loved as a passionate, sometimes stubborn woman who loved her family above all else and could be counted on for a well-timed quip or joke to leave those around her feeling better.
As per Marion’s wishes cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, from 6 – 8 pm at Elliott Hall, 22424 Adelaide Road, Mount Brydges, Ontario (at the rear of the funeral home property)
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion’s name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada as expressions of sympathy.
