With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Marion D Sawyer surrounded by her loved ones January 31st at Mathews House in Alliston.
Marion is predeceased by her parents David and Ruby Lloyd and her Sister and Brother in Law Ruth and Bill Maitland.
Marion is survived by her loving husband Dan of 51 years, her children Holly Hilliard (Tim) and Mark, her grand children Braeden and Zachary Hilliard and her sister Ona (Jack) Short. Marion will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews and close friends.
Marion devoted her life to caring for others as a PSW for 50 years, a strong union advocate for workers rights, but her life and legacy will always be her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 29th, 1:00pm – 3:00pm, with Words of Remembrance at 2:00pm. Located at In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc., 28 Main Street North Grand Valley, ON L9W 5S7.
In Lieu of flowers please donations to The Heart And Stroke Foundation or Matthews House in Alliston would be greatly appreciated.
