Peacefully at Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville on Saturday June 24th, 2023 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late John Lawrence «Larry» Thompson (2016). Proud daughter of the late James and Nellie Kinghorn. Loving mother of Brant Thompson (Gillian Howard), and the late Margo Thompson (1990). Marion will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods And McNair Funeral Home, Chapel and Reception Center, 21 1st St., Orangeville on Tuesday July 4th, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, July 5th at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at the Dods and McNair Reception Center. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orangeville.
For those unable to attend, a livestream will be available on the Dods and McNair website.
Memorial donations to Headwaters Healthcare Foundation, Myeloma Canada or the Sick Kids Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Marion in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 21st Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
