Obituary
Martin, Marion (nee Melitzer)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Listowel Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness with kidney disease in her 80th year. Mother of Lisa and Brian Frey, Sean and Kelly Reger, and Bradley and Kim Reger. Proud and devoted Grandma to Matthew and Kirsten Frey, and Evan and Ashlynn Reger. Will be deeply missed by her partner Ed Friedmann and his family.
Predeceased by her parents Lillian (Arndt) and Mel Melitzer. Marion will be lovingly remembered for her compassion and generosity, long conversations with her family, and her impeccable fashion sense.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Visitation will also take place on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m., followed by ‘high tea’ in Marion’s honour. Interment to follow at West Montrose Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada –Waterloo Wellington or MCC would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
