Obituary of Marilyn Pettit
Pettit, Marilyn formerly of Springfield and Lyons passed away at her residence in Port Stanley, with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Pettit(2012). Dear mother of Mary Payne, Terry Pettit and Charlene Barletta(Paul). Loving grandmother of Michael, Richard, Lacey, Matt, Justin, Jeff and Brendan. She will be missed by 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Survived by her sisters Laura Kenn and Carrol Holditch(Don) and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandson Jason, brothers Harold, John, Donald and Roy, sisters Marguerite, Elaine and Ruth. Born on July 20, 1938, daughter of the late Albert and Mildred(King) Killough. Marilyn worked on the family farm and later at Clevite, St. Thomas. She was a devoted member of St. John’s United Church, Springfield and the U.C. W. She enjoyed bowling, walking in the park, music, dancing and most of all she loved life. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation-burial, Dorchester Union Cemetery.
