With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Marilyn Mae McLean of Gores Landing, on August 11th, 2023. Marilyn was born on May 27th, 1955 to Peter and Thelma Verbrugge in Ridgetown, Ontario, the fifth of six children. Marilyn leaves behind son Peter (Suzanne), daughter Emily (James). She was the cherished Oma to Hunter, Chloe, Clara and Owen. She also leaves behind her siblings Egbert, Jerry, Diane, Archie and many friends including her companion, Ronnie Linton. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Thelma, her dearly loved husband Alan McLean (1998), her beloved partner Douglas Cofell (2017) and her brother Allan Verbrugge (2023). Marilyn had a passion for life that sometimes included taking her hands-off and a love for horses that shaped much of her later years. She will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.
