Obituary
Marilyn passed away peacefully with her loving family and best friend Lori Norman by her side at the Chapman House Hospice, on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Born on July 26, 1946 in Meaford, Marilyn Jean Carpenter (née Woods) of Owen Sound, was in her 77th year.
Dearly loved wife of the late John Carpenter. Dear step-mother (and grandmother) to Jackie Hewton (Al Spry), Johnna-lee Carpenter (Herb) and Raymond Carpenter. Loving sister of Donna Lang (Lloyd), Wayne Woods (Ruth), Brad Woods, Lisa Cousins and sister-law Dianne Woods (Larry). Marilyn will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Elton and Doris Woods and brothers Douglas and Larry Wood.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a come and go reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, 1450 2nd Avenue West, Owen Sound on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Chapman House Hospice would be appreciated.
