Marilyn Baker passed away peacefully on Friday October 27th, 2023, at the age 88 years at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late George Baker. Devoted mother of Brenda Cowell and Michele Schouppe (Craig). Loving grandma to Brandon Cowell, Jeremy Schouppe (Brittany) and Karissa Schouppe. Proud great grandma to Leighton and Walker. Dear sister of Joyce Hatt (the late Bill), Claire Dawson (the late Bettee), and Gary Dawson (the late Sharon).
Marilyn dedicated her life to her family and friends, she was always there to help, share her knowledge and spread her love to everyone that came into her life. She touched the hearts of many people who felt that she was a second mom or grandmother to them, always holding a special place for them in her heart as if they were one of her own.
Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Tuesday October 31st, 2023, with visiting from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday November 1st, 2023, at 11 am with Rev. Jim Hatt officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date.
