Obituary of Marie Yolande Hazelton
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loving mother Marie Yolande Hazelton (née Thomas) on August 20, 2023, at the age of 70. Cherished mother of Jason (Lynda) Curry of Simcoe, Ontario and Julie (Gerard) Kearns of Drogheda, Ireland. Much beloved wife of Brian Hazelton. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Aidan and Dillon of Drogheda, Ireland. Dear sister of Amanda (late Bill) Hale. Predeceased by her parents; David & Francis (née Jones) and her brother, Jean-Paul Thomas (Cheryl). She will be missed by many other family and friends.
Yolande loved being with her family and always looked so forward to visits to and from her family in Ireland. Special thanks to Brenda and the staff at Chippewa Creek at Bella Long Term Care Residence where she rested in her final days.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. Keeping with Marie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
