VISCA, Maria (nee Cavaricci) – Passed away with her loving family by her side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Gino Visca (2023). Cherished mother of Mario (Leslie) Visca, Anna (the late Leo) Persia, Sam (Rita) Visca, Vittoria (Donald) Wikston, and Tony Visca. Loving Nonni to Joseph (Nicole) Persia, Leo Persia Jr., John Visca, Derrick (Riona) Gisel, Christina (Michael) Rossi, Daniela (Patrick) Folino, Anthony (Lisa) Visca, Sandro (Allyanna) Visca, Edward Visca and Antonio Visca. Devoted bisnonni to Leela, Luca & Camila Persia, Tanner, Maddie & Aila Gisel; Zoe & Zachary Folino; Lilian Visca and Sofia Rossi. Maria is survived by her brothers Domenico (Amelia) Cavaricci – Italy, Gerardo Cavaricci, sisters Lucia Wilson and Vittoria (Peter) Stirpe as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Salvatore and Anna Cavaricci, brothers Antonio (Clorinda) Cavaricci, Guiseppe Cavaricci and brother-in-law Norman Wilson. Maria was a 27-year retiree from Chef Boyardee, Canadian Home Products, and was extremely devoted to her faith and church. She never hesitated to recite a Hail Mary prayer or repetitively sing her favourite song Tu Sciendi Dalle Stelle. Her home was always open to all, and her famous Sunday luncheons and hospitality will forever remain within the hearts of those that she touched. Friends are invited to join the family at PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 10 am at St. Ann Church, 5740 Buchanan Avenue, Niagara Falls.
