It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Silvina Galvao at the age of 86. Predeceased by her parents, Antonio Puim and Maria Encarnacao Chaves. Widow of two loving hubands, Roberto Sampaio and Jose Galvao. Silvina was a devoted mother to Maria(Gil), Tony(Robin), and Jason. Proud Grand-Mother of Benjamin(Alisha), Braden(Jordyn), and Josh(Julia). Cherished Great Grand-Mother of Darla, Ruby, and Freya. Survived by her siblings, Arsenio, Helena, and Ines. Predeceased by her brothers, Heitor, Humberto, Jose, Urbano, and her sister Ilda. She will be greatly missed by extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street N, Cambridge on Tuesday April 23 from 6-9 pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. The funeral Mass will take place at St Ambrose Catholic Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge on Wednesday, April 24 at 11am with interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Oriental Sports Club and Portuguese Community Center, 1054 Shellard Side Road, Cambridge. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the KW Grand River Hospital and Freeport Palliative Care Teams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Cambridge Shelter Corporation, and The KW Hospital Foundation
