Peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton our beloved mother and grandmother. Maria das Neves passed away at the age of 91. Maria was the heart of our home and family. Cherished wife of the late Joao das Neves.
Dearest mother and mother-in-law of Iva, Almerinda (Christian), Frank (Cindy), Maria, Connie (Oscar) and Manny (Connie). Loving grandmother of Diana (Tony), Elizabete (Chris). Sandy (Jason). Jason, Nancy (Paulinho), Tommy (Cathie), Christina (Milton), Dennis (Angelique), Jennifer, Brittany, Jillian (Daniel), Melissa (Josh) and Matthew.
Great grandmother of 20 grandchildren, great great grandmother of 8 grandchildren. Maria will be sadly missed by her family and friends in Canada and in Portugal.
Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Maria will be laid to rest in her home land in Portugal. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family.
