Obituary of Margaret Tier
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, at her home, at the age of 89. Wife of the late John Tier. Beloved mother of Michael Tier, Brenda Lavallee (Raymond), Gary Tier and Donna Tier. Daughter of the late Clara Missere and the late William LaMarche (Bill). Half-sister of Collen Digby (late Robert), Loreen Danby and Norbert Constable.
Mom liked camping and fishing with numerous trips to Griffin Lake. Her home and family meant everything to her. She enjoyed cooking and baking – especially at Christmas. Her spaghetti sauce and chicken rice soup were legendary. Ma also liked to garden with her flower boxes that were full of petunias, pansys and her favourite rose bush. You could catch her singing along with her favourite singer, Engelbert Humperdinck while doing the supper dishes. She will be missed by all who knew her.
At her request, no services will be held. Memorial donations to Parkinson Canada or the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Special thanks to nurse Teresa Wyslocky of Paramed for the exceptional care of Mum, Dr. Sharon Buehner and Community Care Support Services North East. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
