Peggy passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024 and is now reunited with her husband Clarence A. (1989). Peggy was born in County Westmeath, Ireland and is survived by her son Hugh (Margaret Anne) and her grandsons Jonathan and Michael. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Kate as well as her siblings Mary, Lucy, Anne, Teresa, Desmond, John and Kevin.
Peggy spent much of her life caring for others during a long career in Nursing. After completing her Nursing education at Trinity College in Dublin Ireland, Peggy, under the auspices of the Rotunda Hospital and an additional 2 years of training, became a Board Certified Midwife and began her Midwifery career in Dublin Ireland. She came to Canada in 1957 for a temporary assignment and never left becoming a Canadian citizen. In Canada she worked at London’s Westminster Veterans Hospital, St Thomas Elgin General, and then over 20 years of service at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
Peggy moved to Windsor in 2000 to continue her retirement and to be closer to her family, especially her cherished grandsons. Peggy loved her garden, where she enjoyed having afternoon tea. She could be often found walking her little dog Cookie in the Riverside area. We are grateful to those in the Riverside community and especially in the Prado Place area for being so kind and helpful to her throughout her time in Windsor.
Never forgetting the importance of helping others, she also volunteered at Sunrise Senior Living.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Families First East Windsor.
Peggy will be interred at a private family ceremony in Mount Elgin, ON at a later date.
Peggy was in her 98th year and will be lovingly remembered and forever missed…
