With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our dear Marcus. He was a loving and hardworking soul, who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and taken from us far too soon. With his warmth and kindness, he touched the lives of everyone he met, and he was a friend to all. His pride and joy was his baby girl, who he loved with all his heart, and this deep love extended to his wife. They were his foundation and strength, alongside his parents. Marcus cherished his Trinidadian and Portuguese heritage; he loved to indulge in currants roll and bifana, and his love of red Mustangs reflected his dynamic spirit. A natural handyman, there was nothing he wouldn’t try to fix, and weekend BBQs became treasured gatherings when he wasn’t busy cleaning and organizing the world around him. Though he has left this world, his gentle, caring spirit will live on in the hearts of his daughter, his family, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
Family and friends are welcome to a Visitation at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. on Thursday, November 14th from 2:00 -9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., on November 15th at Runnymede Presbyterian Church, 680 Annette St, with reception to follow. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery.
