Marcie passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the age
of 90. Marcie is survived by her son Stephen and daughter Wendy (Kent McLellan). She will be sadly
missed by her granddaughter Kelly, sister Glenda Vassallo (Joe) her nieces, Jan and Chris, and nephews
David and Michael. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn and parents Roland and Florence Burt.
Marcie was born and raised in Toronto. She shared holidays and special occasions with her sister and
their family and had many great memories of their farm and summer holidays in Georgian Bay. She met
and married Glenn in the early 80’s, and together built a home on the hill in Tottenham and then retired
in Tiny Beaches, Georgian Bay. She loved Georgian Bay and was so happy there for many years before
moving closer to her sister and family in Cambridge, Ontario. Marcie was diagnosed with Dementia in
the latter part of her life, but her spunk and love of her family still showed through.
You are at peace now, and as you always said, «Good Night and God Bless.»
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Trinity Village Care Center for taking such good
care of Marcie during her time there.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser
Funeral Home.
