«Ralph» Eaton – age 61, of Canard, passed away on
Sunday, November 20, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville. Born in Wolfville in July, 1961 to Malcolm
«Mac» and Mildred «Millie» Eaton of
Canard. Ralph completed the Heavy-Duty Machinery Repair
course at the community college after which he joined his parents and
brother as they worked together to continue the long legacy of the
family farm. He had been employed with Scotian Gold. For a number of
years until his passing, he had been a loyal employee at Basin View
Farm. Ralph enjoyed spending time at the cottage at Sherbrook Lake,
boating, swimming and often finding something to fix. Ralph was an
animal lover, with a soft spot for his dog, Jenny, who was always by
his side. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife of
30 years, Debbie (Hartling); brother, Allan (Pearl); sisters, Jane
(George) and Nancy (Vince) and extended family. Cremation has
taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A graveside
service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in the
Jaw Bone Corner Cemetery, Canard. Following the burial, a reception
will take place in the St. John’s Anglican Church, Church Street, Port
Williams. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
