ELSIPOGTOG, NB – It is with great sadness that the
family announces the passing of Maggie Simon 86, of Elsipogtog at the
Stella Maris Hospital on Sunday, January 28, 2024 surrounded by her
loving family. Maggie was the daughter of the late Peter
Levi and late Marion (Sanipass)
Levi.
Maggie will be sadly missed by her five daughters, Candi
Simon, Cheryl Simon, Sadie Simon, Loretta Simon, Georgina Simon; two
sons, Jeffrey Simon (Rena), Floyd Simon (late Eileen); one step-son,
Gary Simon (Angel); two sons raised as her own, Skyler Simon, Joshua
Simon all of Elsipogtog; twenty-two grandchildren and many great
grandchildren.
She is also survived by three sisters, Doris Copage (late
Sylvestre), Claudia Simon (late Arthur), Sylvia Jadis (Peter) all of
Elsipogtog; five brothers, Peter Levi Jr. (Frances), Charles Levi
(Laura), Terry Levi (Anna) all of Elsipogtog, Franklin Levi (Adela) of
Ontario, Wayne Solomon of Minto; one son-in-law, Clifton Simon of
Elsipogtog and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
George R. Simon; one daughter, Phyllis; one son, Paul; one sister,
Eva; one brother, Joseph Dean Levi and four grandchildren, Rollo,
Mila, Kaylee-Dawn and David.
Visitation will be held at her home, 266 Main Street,
Elsipogtog beginning on Thursday at 2:00 pm until time of the
service. A Celebration of Maggie’s Life will be
held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Anne’s
Roman Catholic Church in Elsipogtog.
