Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Madeline Janes announces her sudden passing on December 31st, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Madeline lives on through her loving husband of 53 years Melvin, her son Todd (Rachel), and her grandchildren: Kiara and Luke, her sisters Margaret (Lee), Rosemary (Brian) and Sharon (Joe).
In place of a formal service there will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at 10 Ball Street, in Deer Lake, from 1 – 4pm.
Madeline will be greatly missed by her loving family and always remembered in their hearts. They take great comfort knowing God has taken her home.
We are sincerely grateful to the many friends support and comfort during this time of loss.
One of Madeline’s favorite devotions reads,

Dear God, help me to accept all that comes my way.
Give me the strength to bear physical pain. Help me
To put myself in your hands, to trust in you, and not
To fear – Whether I face an operation, a long-term
Illness, even possible loss of life. Help me to live one
Day at a time, to accept all that happens as being of
Some purpose, even to thank you for it. Dear God, help
My family to see things this way too, that they may
Know peace. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
