It is
with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Madeline Elizabeth
Tupper, age 95, of Kentville, on July 7, 2024, at
home.
Born in
Upper Falmouth, Hants Co. in 1928, Madeline was a daughter of the late
Charles and Mabel (Benedict) Weisner. She was the last surviving
member of her immediate family.
Madeline
and Les crossed the country several times raising their family while
Les was serving in the RCAF. Madeline met many friends, curled in the
winter and enjoyed camping and fishing with her family in the summer
during their seven postings.
Madeline
and Les retired in 1975 and moved to Kentville. She enjoyed gardening
and spending summers with family at the cabin on Lake George, home to
many card games of Auction 45s.
She will
be missed by her sons, Barry (Wanda), Kentville; and Robert (Esther),
Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Jody (Amy), Alicia, Nicholas (Morgan) and
Matthew; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Ella, many nieces, nephews
and extended family.
In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lester in
2012; siblings and their spouses, Evelyn (Robert) Thomson, Joyce
(Douglas) Dempsey; Eugene (Delores), Clyde (Nona) and Clarence
(Marguerite).
Barry
and Bob wish to thank Karen Hares for being a companin and then
caregiver for the last years of our mother’s life. Special
thanks to the VON Annapolis Valley and to the staff of White Family
Funeral Home for their continuing professionalism and
compassion.

Cremation has taken place and there
will be no visitation, by request. Services will be held at a later
date. Donations in memory may be made to the Flower Cart, New Minas.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted
to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
