In loving memory of Madeleine Solange Labrosse, 82 years who passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Health Sciences North in Sudbury with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Jean Leo Labrosse predeceased 2012. Loving mother of Sylvie and Lise Labrosse. Cherished grandmother of Meegan and Kaylee Yandeau. Dear daughter of Asmond and Marie-Ange Desjardins (née Lajeunesse) both predeceased. Dear sister of Lucielle Quenneville (husband Guy Dionne) both predeceased. Denise Vallieres (husband Raymond) both predeceased, Collette Pepin (husband George predeceased), Elphege Desjardins predeceased (wife Reina Desjardins), Guy Desjardins (wife Monique) both predeceased, Richard Desjardins predeceased, Marthe Desjardins (husband Armand Roy), Robert Desjardins predeceased. Madeleine will be greatly missed by all the extended Labrosse, Desjardins, Anderson and many other Westmount neighborhood family as well as friends, and all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Home and Community Care Support Services and the person support workers who became part of the family over the last number of years especially Sophie and Marianne who were constant figures in companionship and comfort for mom; Dr. John Mulloy for his support to mom and the family; and the nurses and PSW’s of the 5th floor, South Tower, at Health Sciences North who made her last days comfortable.
A Memorial Service will take place in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11am. Friends may gather in the chapel after 10:30am Monday. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. Madeleine’s ashes will be buried with Jean’s at the Cemetery in Field at a later date.
