Shantz, Lydia (Bauman)
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Grand River Hospital – Freeport Campus in her 77th year.
Beloved wife of Ervin Shantz of Floradale for 52 years. Sister of Harvey and Anna Bauman, and sister-in-law of Matilda Bauman (Ivan, 2008) all of Wallenstein. Also sister-in-law of Clayton Martin of Linwood, Susannah Bauman of Floradale, Ian and Esther Shantz of Wallenstein; step-sister-in-law of Ada Martin of Massey, Esther and Henry Wideman of Wallenstein, Daniel and Salema Shantz of St. Jacobs, Oziah Bauman of Drayton, Louisa and Vernon Martin, and Nancy Shantz all of Elmira.
Predeceased by her parents Edwin and Selina Bauman, brother Ivan, sisters and brothers-in-law Elvina Martin, Mary and Alvin Metzger, Milton Bauman, Erma and Joseph Martin, and Lena Bauman.
Visitation will take place at the home of Phares Bauman, 2560 Floradale Rd., on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday June 20, 2024 from 1-4 p.m.
A family service will be held at the home of Phares Bauman at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further service.
