Passed away peacefully with friends and family by her side, at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital in Napanee on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Luella Beckwith (Young) “Grandma Lu” of Marlbank at age 103. Predeceased by her husband Nick Beckwith. Her legacy lives on in her daughters Linda Lister (late Tom) of Toronto; Sandi Nischuk (late John) of Sturgis, Saskatchewan and in her son Glenn Beckwith (Diane) of Renfrew. Grandmother to Scott (Joy); Catherine (Alex); Thomas; and Pam (Mike). Great-grandmother to Greg (Katrina), Christine and Chase and great-great grandmother to Parker. Special friend to Luella were Helen, Brenda and Cally. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to celebrate her life. Many thanks to the Personal Support Workers, Doctors, Nurses and caregivers who looked after her in her later years. A gathering of family and friends will be at the Hannah Funeral Home in Tamworth (613-379-2997) on Friday, October 27 from 10:00 a.m., with Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Reidville Cemetery, followed by Reception in the Funeral Home. Memorial donations made to the Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Service will be live streamed on the funeral home website beginning at 10:55 a.m.
