It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Lucy P. Murray of St. Lawrence announces her passing. Lucy passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the age of 78.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children, Colleen Miller (Pat) of St. Lawrence, Sherri Murray (Wilf) of Goosebay and Justin Murray (Melanie) of Paradise; grandchildren, Josh (Melissa), Chad (Michelle), Alex and David; great grandsons, Theo, Matt & Nick; son-in-law, Vince Imay of Pickering, ON; special friends, Marg Slaney, Dorothy Hooper and Carmel Howlett; plus a large number of nieces, nephews, special cousins and friends.
Lucy was predeceased by her husband, Bob Murray; daughter, Linda Murray; parents, William & Mary Maddigan; sisters, Madeline Molloy (Rene) and Annabelle Budgell (George); nephew, Wayne Budgell; parents-in-law, Fred & Lucretia Murray; and special puppy, Sadie.
Special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre and U.S. Memorial Health Centre for the outstanding care and kindness shown to our mother in her final days.
The Murray Family will be accepting visitors at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, St. Lawrence on:
Wednesday, May 15th
2pm – 8pm
Thursday, May 16th
10am – 9pm
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, St. Lawrence on:
Friday, May 17, 2024 at 10am
Interment will follow at Mount Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence.
In Lucy’s memory donations may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, St. Lawrence or flowers gratefully accepted.
