It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lucy Ber (nee Waithorn).
Beloved wife to the late Samuel Ber and loving mother to Philip (Randi), Miriam (Joseph) and Mark (Delores). Treasured Bubie to Jordanna (JC), Jason, Jerrod, Alicia (Curtis), Ryan, Brandon (Abby) and Taylor. Greatly missed by siblings Regina, Morris and Simon.
A Holocaust and cancer survivor, Lucy lived life to the fullest and always wore her heart on her sleeve. Lucy’s famous pickle recipe will live on for generations to come and she will be greatly missed by all that had the good fortune to know her.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Amica Thornhill for their tender care and compassion and the fantastic staff at Cortellucci Hospital.
Memorial donations may be made to the Association for the Soldiers of Israel (www.asicanada.org/).
Following the conclusion of the burial, family and friends are invited back to 546 Steeles Ave. West (Amica Thornhill). The remainder of the Shiva will be observed privately.
