We watched you sigh,
But all we could do was just stand by.
When the time came, we suffered too,
For you never deserved what you went through.
God took your hand,
And we had to part, it left us all with broken hearts.
If you could have spoken before you died
These are the words you would have replied:
“This life for me is truly past.
I love you all to the very last.”
It is with great sadness that the family of Lucia Lombardi announces her passing. God called Lucia peacefully on September 15, 2023, at the age of 83. She will be forever missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Luigi. Cherished by her dear children Tony (Michelle) and Dino (Rosa). Proud Nonna to Diana, Daniel, and Mackenzie. Lucia will always be remembered by her brother Domenico Colalillo (Biagina), Graziella Colalillo (Giuseppe Pace), and sister-in-law, Giovanna (late Giovanni Colalillo). She is reunited in heaven with her parents Donato Colalillo and Addolorata (nee Malatesta), brother Giovanni, and sister Teresa (Pasquale Malatesta). She will be held dear in the hearts of her nieces, nephews and family, relatives, and many friends. If so desired, donations in memory of Lucia may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 22nd, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at St. David’s Parish. (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr., east of Jane St.) (Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. (On Albion Rd., at Hwy 27)
