It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lucas Walter Henry at home on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the age of 23 years. Lucas was born on December 3, 2000 in Red Deer, Alberta, to Ken and Jodi Henry. Lucas loved and lived life to the fullest. His family and friends could always count on a smile, hug or a joke. He volunteered his time freely to the Alix Fire Department and anyone else who needed a hand. He started his career as an electrician, but then moved into the Service Rig Industry as a roughneck. He loved the crazy pace, and his equally crazy crew. He found his sweetheart, Kenzi in 2020. They went on many adventures together. Lucas was generous to a fault and could talk to anyone about anything. He loved looking after his little cousins and being “big cousin Lucas” to many. Family was very important to him, and friends were considered an extension of that family. Lucas will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his parents, Ken and Jodi; his brothers, Ethan and Ben (Melissa); his partner, Kenzi (Springer and Cam); his papa, Gary and numerous family members and very dear friends. A Celebration of Lucas’s Life will be held at the Alix Agricultural Grounds, Alix, Alberta on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. As Lucas would have wished, casual dress is preferred. Please feel free to BYOB and any stories you would like to share. If desired, Memorial Donations in Lucas’s honor may be made directly to the Lucas Henry Memorial Bursary for Trades Students of Alix MAC, c/o kenry69@hotmail.com Password: Lucas. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will be held at the Family Cemetery.
