Obituary of Louise Wanda Buick
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Wanda Buick (McLeod) on November 28, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Cape Tormentine, NB, on April 27, 1944, she was a daughter of the late William Charles and Katherine Maye (Burnham) McLeod.
She will be immensely missed by her children Russell (Sue) Woodside, Trevor (Annabelle) Woodside, Kirk Woodside, and Tracy (James) Buick; grandchildren Kobi, Olivia, Savannah, Aiden, and Amber; siblings Lorraine (Peter) Steiner of Montreal, QC, George (Norma) McLeod of Moncton, NB, and Bill (Martha) McLeod of Nova Scotia. She will be lovingly reunited with her parents and brother Herb McLeod.
Mom, you were an exceptional mother and grandmother, as well as fur-mom to your cats whom you referred to as “your boys”. We couldn’t have asked for a better role model to look up to. She was truly such a one-of-a-kind, silver-lining woman who was kind to everybody that she met, and always saw the best in everybody no matter their life story or where they came from.
Louise was a devoted community member, always volunteering her time in the kitchen at the Church and Nic Nicole Centre to share her techniques, hosting crafting classes at the Crescent Valley Church, and spent many years of her life attending Main St. Baptist Church in numerous roles. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with Louise’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM.
